The Stick 'em up Posse Band
Jackie Lee, Shack, Leon Rogers, Bobby Mason – I can’t say enough about this band and how much I learned from playing with these guys. We tore up the scene in DC and up and down the east coast. We originally formed around a regular Thursday night gig at the New Vegas Lounge on P street in DC. (the photo above was taken just outside the club). We played the party circuit in DC and shared the stage with lots of greats: War, Stevie Wonder, Steven Stills, Phoebe Snow, Little Sonny Warner, Osiris, Kenny G (!?), even Bill Clinton, who sat in with us a couple of times. These guys taught me how to groove and how to live I’ll be forever indebted to them.
